Why do we sculpt artwork and carve plaques and signage on glass instead of the traditional marble or brass? Because glass glows with light, clarity and purity. It is a classic material with a contemporary feel. Like stone, it can be etched, carved, and polished. But unlike stone, it can be treated with some very innovative techniques, many of which have been invented by Amri Studio.

A glass or crystal carving can serve simultaneously as a sign, lighting fixture, architectural element, and art piece. When lit, glass acts as its own fiber optic and pulls in available ambient or edge lighting. If the images on the glass are deep-carved with dimensional bas-relief carving, they light up (with one or more colors) and "pop" holographically, intriguing and delighting all passersby.

Our graphic work is deep V-carved like the finely chiseled letters in classic stone monuments. This creates three-dimensional lettering, which reads beautifully at a distance with ambient or spot lighting (unlike flat-etched work or materials, which often goes "dead" at a few feet).
Please note that we have a lending library of actual carved-glass prototypes for any presentation that you may have.
