Batchelor Children's Research Institute
University of Miami

Amri Studio designed and fabricated the major dedication plaques and Donor Recognition in the lobby and through-out the floors of the new state-of-the-art Batchelor Children's Research Institute at the University of Miami.

The major donor, after whom the Institute and building is named, is honored with a large 52" x 52" double layer, crystal plaque showing a superbly etched portrait of this dynamic and caring philanthropist today at over age 80. Behind the front panel is a portrait of this aeronautical industry leader in his twenties as a young pilot, used as the background art.

The innovative graphics describing his biography and involvement include carefully chosen deep V-carved scientific textbook fonts with curved lines and technical symbols taken from pilot's navigational charts of the Miami area. These lines continue as a unifying theme through the other major Room and Lab Dedication signage.
