Christina Wallach based the crystal angels in the Bass Performance Hall Donor Wall on the 48-foot-high limestone statues that grace the outside of the building. First she took detailed photographs of these huge angels from a crane. Using these photos, she then drew a schematic for the crystal version and created a stencil template that would be used to carve the angel herself.
