Art glass wall at PricewaterhouseCoopers' The Zone. The Zone represents PwC's holistic approach to creating, developing, and demonstrating e-business solutions for their clients. This new state-of-the-art demonstration and development playground is headquartered in Philadelphia and was designed by Gensler, Washington, D.C., in collaboration with Scott Van Valkenburgh, formerly a principal at PwC and now founder of The Sequoia-AG, LLC.
This Wallach piece, which forms one wall of The Zone's Financial Services Industry Room is a one-of-a-kind, 9-by-12-foot topographic map of the world deep-carved in glass. It is accurately and intricately sculpted into inch-thick laminated green plate glass, and edge-lit and halogen spot-lit with adjustable lighting levels. The piece symbolically stands for the globalization and convergence issues facing business leaders in the Financial Services arena for the 21st century.
