Designed and fabricated by Amri Studio for the Barbary Coast Hotel
and Casino in Las Vegas. Art glass connoisseur Michael Gaughan
commissioned Amri Studio to create some of the finest Victorian
and Tiffany style glass anywhere in the country. His delight in the medium
and his interest in fine authentic detail allowed the Studio to fabricate
the museum-quality work showcased in his restaurants, hotels, and casinos.
Above are two details from a 28-foot-long mural depicting the Garden of
Earthly Delights, an allegory about a gypsy who discovers an exotic garden,
which (like Las Vegas itself) is ripe with the temptations of wine, women,
song, and riches. This exquisite stained glass mural took over 8,000 hours
to create. It uses rare glass and handblown glass including antique glass
and jewels to tell its alluring story.
At right, the delightful and masterful entrance to the Executive Suite. We
deep-carved 3/4" glass panels to create a trompe l'oeil version of sumptuous
velvet drapes and delicate lace curtains.
